Repair Process
We’re happy to look at any Patagonia item that needs repair to see if it’s something we can fix. We don’t charge for most repairs, but more technical items (think wetsuits, waders, etc.) may be subject to a repair fee.
Please make sure your item is clean before handing it off to a store employee or mailing it in or the item will be returned to you to wash.
There are a few ways to get your item repaired:
Small holes or tears can be permanently fixed with gear patches. We’re happy to send you a Tenacious Tape® patch kit! Please contact Customer Service (see the bottom of this page) to get started.
Visit a Patagonia-owned store, where our knowledgeable staff can perform minor fixes on-site, guide you through a self-repair or send your item to our repair team. Please call stores in advance to see if they can accept your repair and to verify hours.
If you don’t live near a store, we encourage you to check out our Repair & DIY Tutorials to see if self-repair is an option.
If all else fails, you can always mail your repair to us.
We strive to bring your item back to like-new condition using similar fabric and hardware. In cases where we do not have the original materials available, the integrity of the garment is our top priority. The color of the fabric used for the repair may not be an exact match, but we’ll do our best to find the closest match possible.
If you choose to send in your repair for an evaluation, we ask that you cover the shipping costs. The repair work (in most cases) is covered by Patagonia. We do our best, but sometimes we can’t repair your gear. Be sure to indicate whether you would like your item returned to you, or recycled if it’s not repairable.
Head to our Repairs page to get started.
